Progress as Promised
I always wondered why they put road signs up announcing the progress that is being made by the Department of Transportation. At first it seemed unnecessary for them to display a sign that tells me they paved the highway. It is rather obvious to anyone travelling that stretch of road. But upon further thought it is important for the DOT to let people know what is being done. After all we, the taxpayers, made it possible with our contributions.
So, in copy-cat fashion, I borrow from the DOT playbook and announce some key leadership features of the new PDCA online (www.pdca.org). In additional to providing a better experience overall to visitors, the site features some new tools for PDCA’s Leadership. First of those is this blog. I’ll try to generate discussion amongst leaders that helps in the primary goal of satisfying member needs. Second, is the ability to put find-a-pro and the standards sections of PDCA on your website (info on the main Leadership web page). Third is the online form to submit upcoming events for listing in the PDCA.org calendar (also accessible from the Leadership web page).
Today the DOT taught me something. Now if I could just get them to work out the lines for license plate renewals at the end of the month. (Wait: I’m sure there is a membership renewal post in that idea somewhere.)
I look forward to seeing those of you that will be in St. Louis for the Residential Forum’s AST9 and the Mid-Year Board meeting.
